Locate the Engine's Data Plate:
The serial number is stamped into the data plate, which is usually located in the operator’s compartment on the hood or the instrument panel. If the serial number plate is missing or illegible, you can find the serial number stamped into the frame. Depending on the age or model of the lift truck, you may find the serial number stamped into the frame exterior, the cowl exterior, or a fender.
Because many forklift model and serial combinations came with a variety of engine/motor options, it is important to provide us with information regarding the engine/motor of your vehicle so that we can ensure that our research will be as accurate and timely as possible. Regardless of the fuel type, the engine/motor information of your truck should be stamped on the engine/motor casting. We will always need to know the manufacturer and serial number of your engine. For electric trucks, we also need to know the electrical/voltage information.
